Thousands of volunteers supported schools, churches, and at public buildings to "volunteer" and make Martin Luther King Day, a day of service

The events began at Camp Curtin Academy, 2900 North Sixth Street, Harrisburg, PA. Programs began at 9am. Watch the kickoff here.

One of the more creative and interesting programs was a project that took plastic bags and volunteers cut them intro strips and made them into long strips that were crocheted into blankets for the homeless.
