Celebrate Marriage Week
February 7 - 14, 2005
National Marriage week is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the tremendous importance that marriage plays in our society. Where marriage is not revered, it takes toll not only on individuals, but also on society as a whole. Marriage reflects the foundation that God set for mankind to grow and prosper. A man and woman join together to form a union called marriage.

Through marriage they are suppose to enhance their love and then share that love with their offspring. Marriage is the foundation of Family Life. Through marriage both parents and children learn about relationships. They come to understand that it takes hard work and commitment, but it brings about a lasting fulfillment that will benefit them through their entire life!
Things you can do in your area:
- Host a home party and invite close friends to celebrate all marriages
- Host a Valentines Day dance and invite your friends
- Host a program at your local church to inspire dialogue on the importance of marriage
- Write a letter to your local newspaper to let others know about Marriage Week. Encourage them to run an article every week that will help couples to develop better parenting skills.
- Nominate a couple for Pennsylvania Parents of the Year at ParentsDay.com.
